Standard Operating System Current OS Release February 27, 2007
S/R 200702271328 File 1 of 2 <Sni.bin>
Note: Download Files Released Operating System Flash File for Standard (non-clinical) SNI servers. If you have purchased your SNI for use with our Clinical Software Library then you will need to use the Clinical OS. URL Required to Activate Update: http://[SNI Address]/~Access.htm&flash=B0D401BCE4
Directions:
Download Sni.bin to your disk and then using FTP place the file in the /System/Config folder on each SNI to be updated. With your browser, open the URL listed above to activate the "flash" update. The flash file will be authenticated and verified prior to its use. This is a semi-permanent update and will remain in place even after power is removed. You may delete/kill the flash file after the update. This file does not need to remain on SNI. A rare "protection fault" error would return your SNI to its original version of factory installed operating system. Contact Dawning for a PROM update kit if a permanent update is desired (a small charge applies).
File 2 of 2 <keysni.htm>
Note:
Convenient HTML page containing the Flash URL for Sni.bin. This is not required for update but can help by avoiding the manual entry of the associated Flash URL and key. Directions:
Save this file to your disk and then using FTP place the file in the /System/Config folder along with Sni.bin on each SNI to be updated. With your browser, open the Keysni.htm file ON EACH SNI and click on the URL listed to activate the associated "flash" update. You MUST open this file on each individual SNI so that the relative link contained contained in the file will utilize the proper IP addressing and activate the update on the proper unit.

Directions:

Update from S/R 199710031504 and Earlier Earlier versions of operating system required that all flash files be named Sni.bin. In order to update from one of these older releases you must rename Sni-c.bin as Sni.bin in the /System/Config folder on your SNI. The update procedure will proceed normally when invoked. Note that this is a one-time requirement and future updates will locate the Sni-c.bin file properly.
